About
ChaturvsMauj — India's first behavioural finance company.
Why we built this.
What we are building.
Chatur vs Mauj started from a simple observation — most people already know what to do with money. They just don't do it. That gap has a name. It's called behaviour. This brand is built around it.
We are not a financial advisory company.
Before we help you invest a single rupee, we help you fix the behaviour that decides what happens to every rupee you already have.
Think of it like your health. Nobody hands you a diet plan and expects you to stay fit if you don't also go to the gym, sleep on time, and build the habit around it. Money works the same way. A stock tip is a diet plan. Behaviour — your mindset, your habits — is the gym, the sleep, the discipline that actually decides whether the plan sticks.
That is why ChaturvsMauj exists as India's first behavioural finance company — not to hand you a product, but to build the framework first. Everything else — the advice, the products, the investing — comes after, and only once that foundation is in place.
The story
How Chatur vs Mauj was born.
Most financial content in India teaches you what to do. Invest here. Save this much. Avoid that product. The information is correct. The problem is it doesn't change anything.
People already know what to do. They have read the articles. Followed the accounts. Watched the videos. And still — the SIP gets cancelled. The credit card balance carries over. The emergency fund gets spent on a trip.
That is not an information problem. That is a behaviour problem.
Chatur vs Mauj was built to talk about that gap — the space between knowing and doing — using characters, stories, and real situations that people actually recognise from their own lives.
Two identical twins. Same face. Same parents. Same upbringing. Completely different with money. That contrast is the whole point. Your behaviour with money is not about your background or intelligence. It is about the patterns running in your head.
That is what we are here to make visible.
The philosophy
Wealth is behaviour.
Not just knowledge.
You already know enough to be financially secure. You probably have for years. The problem is not what you know — it is the gap between knowing and doing.
Every financial mistake feels completely logical in the moment. Every financial decision you have avoided felt too complicated to start. This is not a personal failing. This is how human beings are wired.
"Live today. Enjoy every moment. But in a planned way. So today's joy does not become tomorrow's burden."
The gap we saw
Three things that were missing
from Indian finance content.
The Knowledge Trap
Everyone teaches what to do with money. Nobody asks why you don't do what you already know. That gap — between knowing and doing — is what behavioural finance is built to close. We made a brand around it.
The Judgment Problem
Most finance content makes you feel bad for spending. For enjoying life. For being human. Shame does not change behaviour. It creates avoidance. We built a brand where neither character is wrong and nobody gets judged.
The Product Push
A significant amount of finance content in India is funded by the products it recommends. The viewer is the product, not the audience. We do not take money from any financial product to talk about it. Not now. Not ever.
How we do it
The method behind every piece of content we make.
Find the behaviour
Not the topic — the specific cognitive bias behind a financial decision. Loss aversion. Present bias. Anchoring. Identity spending. Mental accounting. We start with the psychology, not the product.
Put it in a real situation
Chatur and Mauj face something you have actually lived through. A sale. A salary. An EMI decision. A trip you could not really afford. Something that felt completely real in the moment.
Let the insight come from the story
We never state the lesson first. The story plays out. Neither twin is wrong. Neither is the villain. The tension between them is where the real learning lives. You watch it. You recognise yourself. Something shifts.
Verify every number
Every figure in every piece of content is calculated — not estimated. Not copied from another post. We run the numbers before we write the caption. If the math is wrong the content does not go out.
The evolution
Three phases. One long game.
We are building this carefully — one phase at a time. Each phase unlocks the next.

The promise
What we will never do.
This is the trust contract. It does not change.
Recommend specific products
We will not recommend a specific investment, fund, or financial product until we are SEBI-registered and licensed to do so. When that changes, we will tell you clearly.
Make you feel judged
Neither Chatur nor Mauj is the villain. Neither is wrong. You will never feel judged for spending or guilty for enjoying your money here.
Use complexity to sound credible
If you need a finance degree to understand what we are saying, we have not done our job. Plain language is not a compromise. It is the whole point.
Take money from products we discuss
Our content is not funded by the products it mentions. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly. Full stop.

Everything we believe shows up in the content. The best way to understand what Chatur vs Mauj is — is to read one article.
